Overall Rating

Good Points

Light eight, quiet and compact when the handle is folded. Safety cut-outs make sure the mower only runs when you want it to.

Bad Points

The construction is cheap in some important places that let it down badly.
It doesn't cope well with long grass or grass that is even slightly damp.
Box full indicator is unreliable.

General Comments

Flymo PC330 - The mower is quiet at the start but vibrates a lot as the blade gets damaged. In dry conditions the collection is good on short grass, but long or damp grass causes the collection hole and blade housing to clog up repeatedly. As with all electric mowers you'll need a further extension lead as the one suplied is woefully short (but then whose isn't?).
The handle folds well and the mower takes next to no assembly, fitting back into its box-sized hole in your shed with ease. Having said that, it lacks in a few key places. The four wheels are independently positioned in height on flimsy handles. The height of the grass often knocks these out of position and you get an uneven cut. It doesn't like uneven ground at all for the same reason. The roller on the back leaves minimal stripes, and when on the two highest cut settings it works loose and makes it impossible to cut. DEFINITELY not a mower for long grass. Finally, watch the safety features, this mower is safe, but the poor design of the safety switch on the grass basket means it works loose and ends up in your grass pile, in my case never to be seen again. I give the mower a useful life of 2 years.
