Solid weight, realistic safety, trigger motion. No annoying screw at the bottom, nice, long rifled barrel. Good handling. Double-safety system makes accidental discharge very unlikely.
Shoots a bit high, sights can't be adjusted for elevation. Grip safety may take some getting used to.
Have the Walther CP99 and Colt 1911 A1, two different guns with different characteristics. The Colt is my favorite. Single-action trigger is crisp and after a few firings one can tell where the break-off is. Double action is a longer pull, but not nearly as long as the CP99. Nice to be able to cock the hammer to go to single action, versus having to pull back a slide. The main dislike I have is the inability to adjust the sight elevation without buying or customizing your own set. Shop around and you can get it for a pretty decent price, paid $160 for the black model.
