Good Points

Family rooms are spacious and clean, although basic. The atmosphere in the hotel is good as 90% of the guests are Irish families.

General Comments

Sunny Beach, Sever/Yug Hotel (Polyusi) - This hotel is great for families. It has 2 bars (one of which is open 24 hours). The evening meals in the restaurant are good (although half-board guests have a set menu, with a reasonable choice, which is changed weekly). The a-la-carte menu is much more extensive. I wasn't impressed with the breakfasts - milk and butter tasted off both times I went for breakfast. After that we gave up and had a cooked breakfast elsewhere.

There is an Indian restaurant which is popular and open in the evenings.

There is a swimming pool and a childrens pool, and also a small play area.

Happy hour on beer and spirits at 7.30-8.30 and 11.30-00.30 on cocktails. There is a nightly karaoke which starts at 11.30.

The hotel has a shop, small gym and Internet Cafe.

No, I have nothing to do with the hotel. Some people might be interested to know that the karaoke doesn't start till 11.30 pm and goes on till 3am- a bit late for children to be up and a bit noisy too!

Incidentally the Indian restaurant has now gone and been replaced by a Chinese. (we popped into the hotel one afternoon this summer)

Well seen you haven't been there for 3 years. We stayed there this year and the place is disgusting. My 12 year old had to sleep in a camp bed for 2 weeks. The rooms you see in the brochure are the self catering rooms. If your half board the rooms are half the size. The staff are ignorant and don't want to know you if your not spending money at the hotel. Your not allowed to drink in certain areas around the pool. We had 5 burglary's and 2 ceilings fell in on guests. There was fights at the bar.
