General Comments
I have never been so annoyed with a company in my life. I foolishly applied for a capital one card and have had nothing but problems from late payment charges that were paid on time too customer service advisors that were rude and totally unhelpful. I am still having problems trying to close the account as they say I am in arrears from an account I paid off. They have now sent a letter from a debt recovery firm!!!!What ever you do leave this company well alone.

I have had exactly the same experience of this company. I have today had to transfer a balance away from them to a much more reputable credit card company. Although I will be paying more in the long run I would do anything to get away from this dreadful company. How they can call themselves a half decent company is totally beyond me!!!

I am about to pull my hair out with these people! I have been a 'loyal' (maybe foolish is the better word) cardholder for over 5 years. In 2001, I had my card stolen, along with other cards. They closed the account, and I thought things were fine. Even 2 months later, They offered me a Platnium card. I took it. Now, 3 years later, I recieve a letter from a collection company saying I owe on my old Capital One card- the one reported stolen. ???????? On top of that, in the month of May (2004), my Platnium card was used fraudulantly TWICE. Why didn't they catch the use the 2nd time???? I was issued a new acct #, but suddenly all these 'charges' showed up- including late charges after my old acct was closed (and current). I am thinking of reporting this company to BBB, The Attorney General, and whoever else I can find...
