Good Points

Very good accommodation. Great location for walking and other outdoor activities.


General Comments

We hired a 12-berth cabin at Glenmore Lodge as a base for a long weekend of walking. Board was B+B but the bar meals were ok and Avimore is easy to get to for meals / takeaways.

As a base for walking in the Cairngorms it is a great choice. The standard of accommodation is superb, sofas, beds, linen, etc., are top notch.

On-site facilities include swimming pool and sauna which can be used at no extra cost. More importantly, the lodge bar makes it unnecessary to drive the 6 miles to Avimore in search of a pool table and beer.
