General Comments

The Canon PowerShot A300 is my first digital camera, and i have had it for about 7 months. i love it because it is so easy to use, the type of camera that you can just pull out and start taking pictures with. despite its rather bulky size (compared to other digital cameras i have seen), it is still very light and handy to use.

the only bad thing about it, i think, is the low battery life. however this depends on the batteries and not on the camera itself. if you use this camera, make sure you use good rechargeable batteries. Normal batteries can let the camera last for about 20 minutes. rechargeable batteries can let the camera last for maybe 3 or 4 days.

i use my camera maybe once or twice a week. if i leave it turned off with the batteries still inside, it will last for 2 or 3 weeks before i have to recharge them again. if you buy rechargeable batteries make sure you have a spare set with you because you cannot tell how much battery there is left, you are only warned when the batteries have run out.

overall i have enjoyed using this camera, especially making videos up to 3 minutes long and taking lots of pictures of things like pets and people and the nature.
