Good Points

Superior! Quality rooms all with balconies facing the sea and keeping sun for long hours (as long as its not cloudy!). Helpful staff, excellent in all languages. Breakfast is self-serve with a vast selection - from churros to bacon and eggs to fruit to cakes and then plenty more. Lovely cocktail lounge / entertainment area complete with its own small stream and fountains. Entertainment included a great tribute to The Drifters. Far better than the fare offered in many of the restaurant / bars around the resort which are generally pub singers.


Bad Points

No real complaints. The approx 100 Euros for a double room with breakfast for a night is higher than most but does keep the hotel more exclusive.


General Comments

Costa Teguise, Occidental Grand Teguise Playa - Our week was most enjoyable and we loved the hotel. Evening meals were enjoyed at other places, particularly La Provence (try the Tournedos Rossini) and Leani's. Good tours available through Lutons Last Minute Travel. If you're lucky you may get Ian as the tour guide - a laugh a minute and much information as well. Try the Grand Tour. We went in 2003 and stayed in the Tahiche Apartments. They were good, but the Occidental is in a class of its own. We would return with no hesitation. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff.
