Different
A little hard to listen to, especially if your ears are trained with techno and pop.
Maybe it's because I was brought up on her music, maybe it's because she is not completely clear to me and I can not get every word, I find mercedes' music very magical. Her voice, by any technical measures, is not "good" but it has its influence on the soul. When I'm sad I listen to Alfonsina and the sea, or Gracias a la vida and I'm drawn to a place far away, maybe home. Maybe it's hard to explain all the magic, because these songs symbolize something for me, maybe for many people born or raised on Argentine culture and the stories of the past. But try to listen to it, start with her greatest hits and if it's good fo your ears go on and get addicted. There's nothing like a Mercedes Sosa for your soul.
