Good Points

First diesel version of BMW's highly successful Sports Activity Vehicle. X5 the absolute leader in safety and customer satisfaction. The X5's unique recipe for success: the same driving characteristics as a normal passenger car.

General Comments

Despite this superior economy the latest X5 offers a standard of performance equally superior on the road: Acceleration from 0-100 km/h is in 10.5 seconds, top speed is 200 km/h. Fuel economy is just as superior, the common rail engine consuming only 9.7 litres/100 km under the EU standard, equalling 29.1 mpg Imp. Unlike a conventional offroader, the X5 features a unitary body, independent suspension and, in the guise of DSC (Dynamic Stability Control), the most advanced electronic suspension control system. Reflecting the broader range of motoring conditions in the X5, DSC has been supplemented in this case by the ADB (Automatic Differential Brake) and BMW's "intelligent" HDC (Hill Descent Control). The X5 also comes with a high-performance brake system able to provide stopping power and deceleration equal to that of a 7 Series saloon. In a nutshell, therefore, the driver of the X5 is able to enjoy the safe, agile and comfortable driving characteristics of this vehicle both on- and offroad without the slightest compromise.
Totalling all this X5 is the best suited car for the one who is highly demanding both in luxury and performance.

Sounds a bit as free publicity !!! Hard to believe this is from an owner...

This must be posted by a BMW dealer. No personal experiences, just the technical blurb re-stated.
