Good Points

Staff very friendly, pool was never overcrowded always got a sunbed. Beach was amazing, never more than a couple of people there. Hotel rooms basic but nice. Hotel very clean 5* service.

Bad Points

Food a bit repetitive but me and partner are very fussy eaters. Not much to do in evenings, but when entertainment was on it was good.

General Comments

We stayed at the Taba Sea Star Hotel for 2 weeks in July/August 2003 We were a bit apprehensive as this was our first time to Egypt and we got a very cheap deal so we weren't expecting much, but when we arrived we very suprised to find that the hotel was lovely and the staff were very helpful. A great place to stay if you want to explore. We didn't do any trips as we plan to go back this year with a little extra spending money but we did scuba dive at the Hilton which I would highly recommend and we crossed the border to Israel to go swimming with dolphins. We would recommend this holiday to anyone who just wants to relax.

Yes the staff were very friendly and the snorkelling was great. We snorkelled just across the road from the beach, take a disposable underwater camera but DON'T stay at the Sea Star. We got food poisoning there because of the unhygenic practices.
