General Comments

I bought the Marksman 1399 Shootin' Darts II with the intention of plinking tin cans at 10-15 feet. I thought it would be nice to have something that does not need CO2 cartridges or need to be pumped to shoot. The lack of accuracy on this gun is remarkable. I didn't think it was possible. I can spit more accurately at 10 feet! A slingshot would be better. Paperclips and a rubber band would also be better. I would not recommend this gun to anyone that I liked ;) I suggest taking the money (about $17 Walmart) and putting it toward a better gun. I'm now considering a Crosman 1008B (yea, back to the ol' CO2).

Have you considered a single stroke pneumatic?
Webley and Weihrauch offer a few models of this style. Also, there is a good selection of high quality spring piston pistols on the market. I own a Webley and Scott Hurricane, it is accurate and powerful. If co2 is what you want that is fine. But consider that the cost will end up being more than that of a more expensive spring or pneumatic pistol which only requires one loading action. If you really want to have fun with airguns, stay away from the cheap toys. I hope I have helped good luck.

I agree with the last review. Don't waste your money on cheap spring guns. Buy a good quality air pistol and it will last much longer and you will appreciate shooting air pistols. I own a Baikal 46M costs 270.00 dollars, worth every penny, more for accurate shooting.

If you want a good, inexpensive single-shot, get the Marksman 2004. It takes as long to load, is very accurate (at least the one I have is), and costs about $40.00 at Walmart. The 1399 is a toy, plan and simple.
