General Comments

It appals me that companies can legally continue trading in the way that The Mobile Republic do. Complaints on this site and others go back 2 years or more yet people are still being caught by their slick website and the fact that comparison sites effectively collude with them by featuring their advertising. I was tempted by one of these and am still trying to get my money back 2 months after the event.

I have now, on the advice of Trading Standards, sent a letter to them recorded delivery, more in hope than expectation, quoting my statutory rights under the Sale of Goods Act and Distance Selling Regs.

Buying goods over the internet will never be trusted unless companies are effectively regulated.
