Good Points

Outstanding styling. The car never fails to get second looks on the road. In a parking lot, prepare for folk to come over and look at the car. Draws more attention than a modern Ferrari.


Bad Points

Cockpit heat... fixable by installing insulation under the rugs

Reliable reputation is bad, but I've found reliability to be perfect. I spent the effort to carefully go through the car and restore or replace anything that appeared marginal. Super reliable now. Shipped car to Europe for a summer, no problems all over Europe. Driven the car over most of the East coast... no problems there either. Just change the oil and grease the proper places, change brake pads when they wear, and change the windshield wiper blades...


General Comments

The Austin Healey 3000 is Probably THE most fun car I've ever driven. Handles well (for a 1960's vintage car). Very easy to work on, everything is accessible, and parts are easy to find.
