Good Points

Best looking blank DVD on the market

Bad Points

Totally un-reliable

General Comments

The latest Verbatim DVD+R discs are easily the best looking discs on the market however in most stand alone DVD recorders they simply do not work.
On recorders such as the Philips top of the range DVDR1000 mark 2 after the record button is pushed after a couple of seconds the picture freezes then the recorder switches off.
Then trying the Verbatim DVD+R on a Panasonic recorder the same thing happens.
These DVDs are a waste of time & money, if you buy any keep your receipt because more than likely you will be sending them back.

The Verbatim Digital Movie DVD-R is completely worthless. It took several times of clicking the [play] button before it actually played. The screen froze about every 20-30seconds, for about 20 seconds (and sometimes longer). The timer did not stop though. I clicked the [fwd] button, and then quickly clicked [play] to get through a chapter. No matter how great they look, the Verbatim Digital Movie DVD-R is a total waste of money.

You should try using the DVD-R...they worked fine for me and they played in my old Philips dvd player(I was surprised!)
