Poor operating system, duff software stability, battery life rubbish, customer support non-existant, replacement phones (5) none of which worked to speck or anything like it.

General Comments

I wouldn't buy one of these Ericsson T39 mobile phones if it was free, let alone for cash. This is my 5th phone in 4 months - turns off by itself, shorts the battery to zero charge, locks the software when on web, disproportionatly discharges and generally annoys me like mad. Ericsson phones - wouldn't prop the door open with this one.

I couldnt agree more I have had 4 replacements since april. Current phone only gives 70 hours of standbye, when its supposed to give 300. total rubbish

Interesting that one comment came back saying that the standby time of the T39 was only 70 hours. A call to Ericsson, or to whoever sold the phone, would quickly show that a known bug with later versions of this phone is a 70-hour standby time. It can be changed with a firmware update. I had mine updated, and now I get 220+ hours standby on a full charge. Of course, if the phone was stolen or bought illicitly, you wouldn't stand a chance.
