Looks, Handling and Performance
Squeaks and Rattles
I've now owned an BMW 3 Series 330 Ci Sport Coupe for just under a year. It's the 2004 model with a 6-speed manual gearbox and the sexy 18 inch wheels.
The first thing that I would suggest to anyone in the market for this type of car is not to compare it with another make/model. The reason for this is because I truly believe that this car is not the best in its class on paper. Which is just as well that we all drive cars on the road I guess.
The point I'm trying to make - rather badly - is just get out there and drive one and see for yourself. I liked the car when I bought it and I like it more nearly a year later. The cars natural balance under power is something a bit special.. don't be afraid to turn off traction control because this car is okay when it breaks traction.. don't panic and you will be okay most of the time.
These are characteristics we expect from a hardcore sports car and not an everyday nail. The most endearing quality with this car is that it does perform very well when you want to get home that bit quicker but that it is also enjoyable as everyday transport.
The only niggles that I have are: -
The rear seats squeak and rattle- BMW can't fix it and the passenger window makes a strange noise when it closes fully.
Oh and before I forget.. the best thing about this car is that my wife refuses to drive it because she is afraid of crashing it.. sweet.!
