General Comments

This Asus L8400-B laptop has been nothing but good to me. I purchased it with a PIII-650 and 128MB of Ram with a 12GB hard drive and 16MB video. It ran Windows XP ok but not fast enough so I upgraded the ram to 256MB and the video to 32MB. I also purchased a 40GB hard drive and now it runs almost anything I throw at it (exceptions being some of the more graphic intensive games). I would not trade it for another similar priced laptop. My back-pack DVD writer works great plugged in to the USB port.

The Asus L8400-B is not a bad laptop, and I have noticed PC World sells this at a very low price indeed.

    Hello,

we have recently purchased a secondhand L8400 C.

How did you upgrade the RAM?

We can't see how to get inside the thing except by undoing eight screws on the bottom of the case.

    Thanks

    Margaret
