General Comments
I got my Ford Probe just over a year ago, and fell in love with it at 1st sight. Granted my insurance was £800 p/a fully comp. But that's to be expected concidering it's my 1st car (at 30!!!)
I love the style, large bonnet, huge boot, stereo set up is fantastic, just got the creature comforts I like.
However, there is a down side. Price of parts, and the availability. It's horrible. Over the past few months, the car has been using oil, so I got price of parts for a basic full engine overhall. Piston rings, shells, head gasket kit etc etc. £700 for the lot. And that's not fitted!
But I suppose that's to be expected!
So, I have to move on to something a little more sedate (yeah, right) I'm debating either between a Mitsubishi FTO (expensive parts again!) or a Vauxhall Omega 2.5 auto CDX (which is looking more likely)
I like my space, which the Probe has, I like a bit of speed, which the Probe has, and creature comforts, which again, the Probe has.
Would recommend the 2.0 but the 2.5 v6 is only 1 group higher insurance, and there's more gadgets!
