General Comments

I have a DSLR and use film cameras, but on occasions require the use of a camera without having to carry a bigger system. I looked at what was available and chose the Nikon Coolpix 4300 Digital Camera for its options.

I like the auto 'idiot mode', but find the more manual options a breeze. This camera would suit anyone from beginner to experienced. The battery life is very good and with over 500 photographs taken I have yet to find a fault that was down to the camera and not the user.

Its size lends it to be easily carried and the build quality is second to none, I was worried by the plastic look and feel but have found it to be very rugged. At MP its is one of the best in its class.
