General Comments
PLEASE PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM the The Mobile Republic
I ordered an ericcson t610 from them in November 03, still not received it yet but all I hear is "we are very sorry and someone will contact you"
They supplied me with a temporary phone after 2 months so they could activate my account, but activated the wrong sim card so I had to buy a new one myself so I could use the phone.
Orange were no use at all because according to them I cannot cancel the account after it has been activated without incurring penalties
Also, if you sign up to orange care and lose your phone or it is damaged the replacement phone will only be the temporary one (nokia ) not the ericcson.
I've spent a fortune in waiting in a call queueing system to hear the same old excuses
As I say, don't touch them with a bargepole.

pay as you go top up cards in The AnswerBank: Technology
You can buy top-up cards in pretty much all newsagents. As for the one you should buy : ask for an Orange card, since your sim card is Orange.

Yahoo!!!!!!
I've finally got my phone after 6 months waiting
Now all I need is the free headset and stuff, reimbursement for the sim card I had to buy, a refund of a months line rental I had to pay for when I didn't have a phone, a contribution towards my phone bill?? They dont even reply to my tickets now, are they still trading??
No doubt one of their specialist advisers is just about to contact me. Has anyone ever received a phone call from them???
I wish everyone the best of luck in dealing with the "Mobile Shambolic."
