Very light
Good grip
Comfy
Tear easily
Bulky
Shoelaces constantly rip
The Vans Geoff Rowley XLT were my second skate shoe and I learned a great deal of tricks with them. The shoes are very grippy and light. However, the grip wears away quickly and the toe tears very quickly. I skated them a lot and did nothing but learn kickflips and boardslides. I destroyed them in only a month. In addition, there is almost no shoelace protection, it got to the point where I was ripping laces everyday and I had to stop wearing shoelaces because I ran out of laces. They also don't look that great because they are bulky as hell so you can only wear them with baggy pants if you want them to look good. I would recommend them for beginners, but not for the more advanced skater.
