General Comments

I ordered line rental through Mobile Republic, offering a rebate after 3 months. The deadline duly came and went, with no money forthcoming from Mobile Republic. I've lost count of the number of tickets sent to them and auto-replied to by Mobile Republic. I then contacted the line rental provider, through their customer services desk, to file a complaint. They agreed to contact Mobile Republic. This may have lent some weight to my claim, as I got a phone call from Mobile Republic a couple of days later. A cheque followed a week later.

    Well, well, I thought I'd finally cracked Mobile Republic's reluctance to pay the rebate that I was promised when the cheque arrived. But they had one more trick up their sleeve. A bouncing cheque! I may win in the end, but the financial cost is out of all proportion to the time invested. Be warned.
