Good Points

Lasts for ages if the glue is applied to both your nail and the false nail.

Bad Points

The glue can be a bit messy when applying.

General Comments

Broadway Fast French Nail Kit - I used to go to a salon to have acrylic nails put on, but I found them very expensive, time consuming and bad for your nails. I then discovered Broadway Fast French nail kit in Boots which is far cheaper and lasts at least two weeks (depending on the amount of glue you use, which I will come to later). Basically, it is a complete French manicure false nail kit that you apply with a type of superglue which to me seems far safer for your nails than the way false nails are applied in a salon. The nails are very strong and stay on very well, even after immersing your hands in water.

If you don't like your nails too long, use a strong pair of nail clippers and gently snip them along the top and file them before applying - if you try to cut them in a hurry, like I once did, the whole nail will snap down the middle and you'll have to use another one. First of all, remove your nail varnish and then cut your nails down low. Take all the nails out of the box (if you are lucky you will have enough for two applications). Check which nails are the best size for you, cut them shorter if you want to and leave them ready in the right order on the table. Then apply plenty of glue to your nail. If you really want them to last, apply to the inside of the false nail as well. Press the false nail down very hard on your own nail for about 15 seconds - if you don't press hard enough you will get air bubbles between your nail and the false one. Take care or the superglue will spurt out the side and stick all your nails and fingers together - but you will get used to it.

They look great and are worth a try, especially if you have a special date, and for the money are a much better option than a salon. You will find that after about a week the odd one will 'ping' off when you are making the bed, but it's not worth sticking it on again because it has lots of dried glue inside it and will look awful. Instead, use a new one from the pack. You can trim down the sides of any which are too wide and use them. If you need to take them off, whatever you do don't try to pull them off but buy some 'Get Em Off' from Superdrug, only £2, it will dissolve them, it's really good. Then put plenty of olive oil on your nails, because they will be very dry.
