Every single thing about it apart from the bad points below. (no joke!)
Expensive. (worth it but it costs as much as some air rifles.)
Sights. (poor design.)
I had a Webley & Scott Nemesis .177 about 3 years ago. I payed about £85. This is a very good gun for targets and plinking, but not hunting. Pellets are fired at about 385fps, althogh it seems faster. I have seen power quoted from 2-4ftlbs so I'm not to sure on that. It is very accurate, probably due to it's recoiless pneumatic action and it's fairly long and rifled barrel. It is easy to cock and load once you get used to the rather original layout. The safety catch works very well and has a good solid feel to it. The trigger is ajustable 2-stage so the shooter can tweak it to their own needs. The build quality is outstanding and in the time I had mine I couldn't find a single fault with the actual manufacture. Everything about this gun is brilliant, apart from the sights. They are not very well protected and one little nudge and they will need zeroing again. If you are looking for an airgun, first time or not, and you can find an alternative sighting system to the one that comes as standard and you have the spare money, I think you should seriously consider buying one of these. Afterall, if it's hunting you want, why would you be going for a pistol over a rifle or carbine?
