Brings so many emotions towards you. You feel lucky that you are not brought up into a family like Adelines. And the thought of Niang sends shivers down you back!
In my opinion the only bad point about the book was that it 'twittered on' in some places but overall, very good!
As I said, Adeline Yen Mah, Chinese Cinderella: The True Story of an Unwanted Daughter is a sad story, and I'm not going to give the punch line! In the front of the book in the author's comments she explained 'it was painful to write this' and I could imagine all the events that happened in the story were true and happened to her! I would recommend it to 10 year olds or over because there is often Chinese names that I myself found hard to pronounce! Overall one of the best books I have read!
