Excellent film if you like romance thats not slushy.
Possibly a bit slow if you like action.
Lost In Translation starts slowly and continues to meander, but because it remains at the same pace it doesn't seem to matter and a sense of anticipation always keeps the audiences' attention.
A really good film focusing on the relationship between the two main characters and Bill Murray and the Japanese. Both are intriguing and contain subtle comedy.
It is quite intense despite the pace and the whole film takes place over a few days in Tokyo.
Although there is a large age gap they share a lot and their relationship develops quickly in the short time they share trapped in a hotel. To say much more would spoil the story as it is really a film about discovery.
Go and see it if you want a film that's easy to watch and will make you feel good at the end. It's a great film for the romantic however it is definitely not cheesy.
