Bad Points

Leans like a superbike, made tinfoil + plastic, doesnt like wind, bad build quality, barely starts 1st time, 0-60 = 876.7 secs (downhill, with wind).

General Comments

well, what can I say, the Citroen AX 10 954cc has done more miles in the air than on the ground, READ = it doesnt like cross winds! when you can get it to stay on the ground its usually on 2 wheels round corners as it likes to lean. thats only at 25mph. A word of warning DO NOT HIT KURBS. I did (accidentlly) and I thought my tracking was out but in actual fact the driveshaft had bent and my wheel was facing the wrong way!

I find it hard to believe you hate your AX so much, mine is fantastic! Okay, take the point of it feeling slightly on two wheels when taking corners, but slow down a bit and it's fine. Mine is a J-reg, 1992, starts perfectly every time, if you have a manual choke take it out halfway and rev a little as you try to start, it's occasionally a bit temperamental in very cold damp weather, but who isn't?! Can't comment on the exact time of 0-60 since I've never tried but my car is always first away at traffic lights and generally very nippy.
In general, I wouldn't say my car was totally perfect, but taking into consideration the age and number of miles on the clock, I think it's doing remarkably well.
Oh, and the point about the kerbs? Don't be daft enough to hit them in the first place!

Maybe if you drove properly you would enjoy your AX a bit more. Mine is an M reg 954cc, it is a bit light in the crosswinds but it still holds the road well, I regularly do a 500 mile round trip in mine with no problems.

I really can't see your point about the 954cc AX being THAT slow. I spent the last year or so driving one of the legendary GT models, and it was absolutely brilliant fun. However, being an F reg, and having had a difficult life from previous owners before it got into my little boy racer hands, I spent most of my life underneath it, until about a month ago it finally let go and I couldnt be bothered any more. At this point my grandad decided he was giving up driving, and knowing about my car troubles gave me his L reg AX Debut, which had 23,000 miles on the clock (yes, really, he'd owned it from new and had it serviced every year). I was not looking forward to being laughed at by my mates as they all disappeared into the distance in their sporty 1.4s, but to this day the baby citroen amazes me with just how nippy it is, and how hard they have to try to beat me.
Oh, and when you say it feels like there's two wheels off the ground round tight corners, there probably is, I regularly have mates tell me that as they were following round tight corners both the wheels on one side of the car have lifted off the ground, and then made a nice puff of smoke when they landed again.
So the AX 954 aint as much fun as the GT, but it aint half bad for a 954.
