General Comments

Four way scroll makes life very easy when exploring this Sagem MYX- 6 mobile phone!
Menus are nicely and very clearly laid out, also adding to the ease in which this phone is presented.
The shortcuts that are added in the phone for the camera and wap page, are brilliant if you dont want to scroll through the menu to find them, but it can be annoying trying to get out of them, if you accidently hit them.

The digital camera is great. The fact that it has a cover, is another unique add-on to this phone and it is a very welcome one, it prevents it from getting dirty or scratched. It is incredibly easy to take a picture, and with the zoom features, you can get them to look just as you want. You can also set a timer ranging from 5-15 seconds, i personally dont see the point to this. The mirror beside the camera lens is very handy for taking a self portrait, although it takes time to get used to. You can change the sound that the camera makes when you take a picture. It is, in my opinion, these little thought out extras, that make this phone what it is. There are five sounds available.

It is very easy to store phone numbers on it, and there is room for plenty of detail including: 3 numbers, e-mail, call group, company, comment and also a photo, just incase youre one of those people that has trouble matching a face to a name :o)
You can also store the numbers on either your sim card or in the phone itself. sim might be better for those you text or phone more often, incase your phone breaks, or you change it.
You can add a personal answer phone message, this feature however is not unique to this phone only. There is also a shortcut to listen to your messages, holding down 1 key.

Sending a text message couldnt be easier, there is the option of predictive text, but you can turn this off. You can add little pictures in as well, but this is only good if you are sending it to a similar phone able to accomodate them. You can zoom in and out on the writing, this is helpful if you cant see small writing, and helpful if you want to fit everything youre writing onto the screen at once, without having to scroll down. When recieving messages you can customise any of the ringtones to alert you.

There are three skins available and many wallpapers, and screensavers. I have still not got the hang of how to get the screensavers on...so that would come as a downside. The wallpapers are very good, and there is a vast range of them...the fact that you can have a photo you have taken and use it is very good indeed. The skins are not really something to write home about, as there are only three, and in my opinion none of them are anything special.
There are fascias available for this phone, and im sure as time goes on, they will be as fancy as the ones for NOKIA.

You can edit all the photos; greyscale, embossment, change the photos into negatives, add marks, add special characters or drawings, add funny and special frames, adjust the sharpness of the phots, blur the photos to give a cool effect.

This is a very good phone, and it would be worth at least strong consideration. Dont brush it off just because it is not a nokia. If there is any queries from anyone reading this review I would be happy to answer them, just bring them to my attention. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

I'm very interested to buy this phone! As I'm living in India and the climate here is very extreme. Do you think, this phone can work in harsh climate conditions? How to save its screen from scratches?

I don't really see why this phone wouldn't work in warm climate, but as I live in Northern Ireland, and the weather here does leave a lot to be desired, I would not be totally certain on this point, although it is an excellent phone and I have not had any glitches or complaints as to the standard of capability it has.

The only thing I can think to save the screen from scratches, as it is very large, would be to put it inside one of those leather pouches with the clear screen cover, although I myself do not find these the most attractive, so you could always just put a tiny bit of plastic, or cling film around the screen to prevent scratches.

You should really seriously consider getting this phone as it is truly superb and will serve you well.

Good Luck with your choice. :o)

Sagem myX-6 is what I’m using presently, though I’m yet to really understand the phone very well but I believe it’s a good phone for everyone to try. My concern here is no other thing but to find out if it's possible for one to know the fake from the original. I hear there are two types; one is the Europe type while the other is Dubai type. From the information I gathered the Europe type is stronger and better than the Dubai one, so how do one really get to know which is which when trying to buy one for himself in this part of the world called Africa!
Well, I know there are some ways in getting to know the serial no, manufactured date and county etc of some phones. Is this also applicable to Sagem myX-6, and if yes, how do one get that of Sagem myX-6? This is very important so that I could use the information to know which of the product I’m having presently.
