Look, feel, wood stock, accuracy without scope, low cost, hard hitting at 20 yards.
Plastic adjustable sights that cannotbe locked, then can be moved too easy once you sight it in.
Wanted a rifle for backyard plinking and field use . One that I could shoot targets and work on my marksmenship without a scope. The Daisy Winchester 600x's power is very good. I used 1/4" plywood trap box at 35 feet to sight it in and I have to throw it away as the pellets went right through the wood, small entry and heavy splintering on the back using Beeman Wadcutters.
Another reason to buy was I did not want to spend a lot of money. The 600x was perfect. Once I sighted it and found I needed to mark the site location as the back site ramp was accidentally moved when I put the gun on a table. The accuracy and heft of the gun is perfect. The recoil, trigger and the cocking is heavy but I like that as it makes this air rifle feel as substantial as it looks and performs. For hunting I will buy the 1000x just because of the way the 600x performs. Overall this is a fun gun.
