Good Points

Workstation is allright. The sounds are incredible- still beats some of the new stuff-ESPECIALLY THE PIANOS- The acoustic piano sound is "too real" sounds exactly like a piano.

Bad Points

Workstation is stressful when working on complicated stuff.
The drums are awfull-The session expansion boards are better, get korg or yamaha for drums.
Performance mode sucks- all effects and clarity of sounds are gone in performance mode- hence recording sounds fake!
-plain and simple- get an external workstation and use the XP-80 as a synthesizer(for the sounds)

General Comments

The XP-80 76-Key is a good workstation FOR SIMPLE STUFF ONLY. Apart from this, the sounds are great, except, Listen to the Brass! IT'S AWFULL (Roland should have called that sound a synth brass or something).
