Good Points

This pistol is built like a tank! very sturdy, will last for years. Decent for back yard shooting and learning basic shooting techniques and safty. Very quiet compared to co2 and pneumatic pistols like H9 from Benjamin.

Bad Points

Like the rest of the reviews, very heavy to cock. With the cocking effort of this pistol, its not intented for kids less than 10. There are no safty features from preventing the trigger to be pulled when the barrel is pulled out and to be loaded, so be very careful with it.

General Comments

The Beeman Tempest .177 cal. is a very compact and sturdy pistol with very little plastic parts and is very capable of doing a lot, including but not limited to shooting tin cans to getting rid of pests like mice and rats around the house. You can expect to put all the pellets in an inch group from center to center at ten meters, but if your looking for something better, you might want to look else where. This pistol is very rugged, and can tolerate some dirt and still be operational, it also doesn't require a lot of maintenance and up keep. As far as the trigger pull is concerned, it's a very crisp single stage pull with adjustable tension on the trigger. The standard grip is decent, however, if you have large hands or left handed you might want to consider the combat grip offered by Beeman.
