Good fuel economy, cheap second hand buy.
The engine is gutless, build quality is poor, the car feels cheap and tinny; the brake pads, discs and shoes have a short life.
I am a driving instructor and my Nissan Micra K11 1.0l has a hard life, sadly it is not up to the job,I spend 8-10 hours a day inside it, the seats are uncomfortable, the 1.0 litre engine is useless going up hills, the clutch is too sensitive, I have the tracking checked and adjusted every 2-3 weeks as the slightest pot hole knocks the steering out of alignment, the suspension is adequate carrying 2 people, any more and it can't cope, the rear seats are woefully thin, the overall build quality is diabolical, using thin body panels and lots of cheap plastic interior trim, if you ever get underneath one look at the poor quality of the floor pan and suspension mountings. There are far better cars at similar prices, eg Ford Fiesta, Toyota Starlet. I made a mistake buying my micra, I have owned it for 9 months and will be getting rid of it soon, it is probably OK for elderly grannies to potter off to Tesco's, but it is certainly not a serious car.
