Good Points

Prints relatively clearly in black and white. If it prints at all.

Bad Points

Very poor paper feed. Difficulties with Acrobat Reader in combination with Mac OSX v.10.3.3. Loud. Epson specifies only to use epson cartridges. Difficulty getting color to line up right.

General Comments

Please save your money and just copy your documents from your computer screen by hand. That's what I do now that I own an Epson Stylus C60 Inkjet Printer.

I have to lean the paper up against a wall or hold it by hand to get it to go through. Even so, too many sheets or too few sheets can cause jams. I consider myself lucky if it feeds two or three sheets through at a time but at least prints on the top one. Often times difficulties with paper feed lead to smeared documents for up to six pages after the misfed one.

It refuses to print files from Adobe Reader (I'm using Mac OSX v.10.3.3) without any explanation. The driver it came with was faulty, but Epson replaced it with an update after I spent ages on the phone with them. Their customer support for the Adobe Reader problem has been pitiful.

The cartridges are very expensive, and although I generally just need to print black and white documents, the printer won't work without a color cartridge, complete with ink (I tried an empty, but couldn't fool it!). On the rare occasion that I do print something in color, I've found that it has difficulties lining up the colors correctly. After using the utility to adjust the alignment three times, only making it worse, I gave up. This is with brand new Epson print cartridges.

If you're still not convinced, the thing is as loud as the printer I was using in 1986. At least it's pretty cheap.
