An abusolute brute for an amp. Exceptionally clean and quite amplifier section. One of the nicest looking receivers ever built. Sansui G9700=when money is no object. Very well designed with high quality components.
I had to cut a whole in the back of my wall unit to allow for the oversized heat sinks on the rear of the chassis (boohoo).
I originally purchased my Sansui G Series G9700 receiver in June of 1980 for considerable $$$. Like a fine wine, old '97 gets better (and more valuable) with age. Unfortunaetly my '97 has suffered the same fate as mentioned by my fellow owners listed here-a blown Transistor of the 75 watt very low destortion variety-which is proving difficult to find. I have kept this receiver in as new condition cosmetically and never made the mistake of throwing away the original box/packing. If anybody knows were I might obtain parts for this classic, I would be deeply greatful.
