Good Points
I have tries DVD-R, DVD+R and DVD+RW disks and they all work, also plays VCD and SVCD and MPEG files with a bitrate of 6000 kbps.

Bad Points
occasionally the first track on a SVCD will start a few seconds into the track.

General Comments
For the price the Dansai 952 is an excellent DVD player. I have tried DVD-R, DVD+R and DVD+RW disks and they all work, also plays VCD and SVCD and MPEG files with a bitrate of 6000 kbps.

I have a 952 and it only intermittently plays -RW discs I have authored. Can I save an MPEG2 to the DVD and will it play video & sound through the Dnasai.
