General Comments

You've heard it before? "Oh it's easy to install an Mi-16 engine into a 205 gti. Move one mount, chop the inlet manifold" ,etc, etc. It's not if you want it done right, and if someone says it is, just nod your head and walk away. Get it done right, and it is a really worthwhile conversion. The first thing you notice is the lack of bottom end torque over the standard 1.9 (although the Mi-16 has more torque, but at a different rpm), but when you hit 4500 rpm and all hell breaks loose, you smile again all the way to 7000 rpm. These cars will go from 0-60 in around 6.6 secs and go on to 140 mph before the limiter sets in, combine that with the legendary 205 gti handling and you have super car performance and handeling at mini car costs, combined with reliability.
