Bad Points

ergonomics, badly arranged menus

General Comments

On the surface the Panasonic GD55 seams like quite a sexy little phone- very compact, cute and stylish. After a few weeks use however, once the inital appeal has started to wear off its usabilty really starts to get annoying. With it being so small, the buttons are very tiny. This obviously brings usabilty problems to which panasonic have addded to by using domed buttons that course your fingers to slide off and push something else. Also you have to push the buttons in a long way to get them to 'click' which can be frustrating. Texting could be much better. None of the menus are arranged in order of frequency of use, and so you often find yourself scrolling through rarely used characters to register a commer. Also there is no pound or 'at'sign, even although there's a load of russian alphabet or something, which also is pretty rubbish. Applications like the calculator and calendar are absolutley awful and highly frustrating. On the whole this phone is probably fairly good if you use it just for calls. If you want something thats compact, cute and stylish, its good, if you want something that you can actually use effeciently-avoid!
