General Comments
I bought these Babyliss 2026u Trevor Sorbie Solid Ceramic hair straighteners after borrowing some GHD's and deciding they were good but too expensive. After reading reviews here I was tempted by the Remington's but the Babyliss ones were on special offer at boots.com for £40 ( and free P&P) and as they are solid ceramic and also have a 3 year guarantee, I thought they would last longer.
I am very pleased with them. They work just as well as the GHD's (which are ceramic plated) and they are a nice shape, rounded, which makes it easy to curl the ends if you want to.
My hair is long, very fine and VERY curly and it straightens really easily with these straighteners. It tends to be a bit flyaway afterwards, but I've found that a spray with Schwarzkopf Shine Tonic afterwards sorts that out. Has anyone else got any tips about using styling products with straighteners? If so, please let me know, as I'm new to all this. I've had curly hair for years ( I use FrizzEase serum and mousse and never comb it when it's dry) but it's a revelation to have smooth hair for a change!
If you're interested in these straighteners, you can also get them from Currys ( they were £40 there as well). If you buy them from Boots.com they are now £50, but in Boots shops they are £60, so shop around.
