Good Points

Plays absolutely everything and hopefully with 5.1 sound!looks good!


Bad Points

Can't watch tv with it on standby. No sound at all through scart and only get backround noise through stereo. Very loud motor. My player has been sent off for repair by richer sounds so hopefully everything will be ok when returned.


General Comments

The DVD551 by Acoustic Solutions is a good looking, cheap dvd player but is somewhat lacking in quality. It plays everything. My player has been sent off for repair so hopefully when i get it back it will be a very good bit of kit. If it works when i get it back i would give it a 10/10!

    It is true that you can't watch TV while the player is on standby, I got around this by using SVHS - this also produced a Very good picture quality
