Good Points

Nice size: bright colour screen: software seems easily navigable:
great price! and a good choice of cool ring-tones!

Bad Points

The Power On button could be a bit more identifiably prominent, if you know what I mean..
Seems I can turn the startup 'chime' On or Off,
but I can't alter its volume, which I find a bit loud..

General Comments

At the ripe old age of fifty-four, the Nokia 3530 is my second cell-phone since losing my mobile phone virginity six months ago, and I'm thrilled with it.

It's waaay cooler than the comparatively-heavy Nokia 5125 it replaces.

I really liked this model's unusual keypad:
I saw it, I bought it!
-in fact this was The Very Feature that attracted me to the Nokia 3530:
It's probably just too cool for most of you out there, sorry..

Yes, it's a nice-lookin' phone at night, and is unusually stylish during the day.
Yes, the unusual keypad takes a little getting-used-to, but it took me all of 15 minutes -and I'm 54!

I got my Nokia 3530 (in March,2004) for the local equivalent of U.S.Dollars 50,
which strikes me as being a darned good deal for a colour phone of recent vintage.

Seems some users indicate a useful life of about 5 months in some cases,
but somehow I suspect younger folk treating the poor little thing with no particular care,
perhaps banging it around, wearing it constantly like a watch (just not my particular lifestyle, sorry)
-and dropping it too, which I'm sure it really 'appreciates'!!

Take reasonable care of the thing, and you should get at least a year out of it,
by which time some newer model will come along, even cooler-lookin',
and we'll all go with that.

-Whatever!
