I got this Limit 8080a DVD player as part of a package with subwoofer and speakers.

Player and amplifier-subwoofer are separate, meaning two remotes. That means that it is not quite as easy to use as integrated player-amplifiers.
I have tried it for a month, no problems so far.
Picture and sound OK, although I have only tried the composite video.

The amplifier decodes analogue surround (converting 2 into 6 channels), which is handy for cable and satellite films.
Great improvement on built-in-TV sound.
Although the power is limited (50w+5x10w) it seems more than enough for me. I have a small room, I never put it near the max.

It reads audio CDs OK, which was a problem with a very similar cheap player I bought earlier (Lenco).
I also read a CDR full of 200 MP3 tracks, although the interface is a bit poor. File names are chopped off, playlists impossible (I think) and it failed to recognise a couple of tracks. OK if you just stick the CD in and listen sequentially, I suppose.

I only regret I payed a bit more (320 €) than the price in the UK (150£).

Hi I bought this lot end Of Dec 2002 at 175 EUR, essential to have a entry level DVD player that comes with 5 boxes "for free".

It looks a bargain but I wasn't able to get a normal audio CD "fake" 5,1 output. The 5,1 fake output only works for my TV in 2CH. If I select 6CH then audio is only coming out of 1 small box and the SW :-( Any help greatly appreciated.

Also the fact that there is no website for this manufacturer is somehow "creepy" for support but yeah at this price I guess this is part of the package. Several brand names are now also dropping to this price level though.
