Good Points

Plays svcd,
multi-region enabled by a few buttons,
macrovision can be disabled,
Cheap.


Bad Points

Ugly,
not the best build quality,
unforgiving remote control.


General Comments

I brought this Acoustic Solutions 451 DVD player mainly to play svcd that I make from my DV camera. The picture quality is good, I haven't tried the 5.1 sound decoder so can't comment on that. It is as good as my other dvd player an LG in picture quality, but the remote control is not the best. Overall not a bad price £89 for a player that can do most things, but if you don't want the built in decoder go for its cheaper brother the 421 if you can find one.
