Good Points

Superb friendly staff. Restaurant meals excellent value. Clean, hard working maids. Entertainment-varied and interesting.

Bad Points

None at all.

General Comments

We stayed at Puerto Tahiche after taking an AOA and requesting anywhere but Costa Teguise. Well that's where we ended up and we've been there twice now. It is a great place to stay despite everything I've read here.
It's near the beach, the people work hard, we found everything good. Tried for a last minute deal this year due to work commitments and couldn't get a room!
Speaks volumes don't you think.
P.S. Love to Pedro, Seve, Hesus and all the staff. See you all soon.

Thank you for this review. I have just booked and read the reviews afterwards (silly me). I went to bed wondering what I had let myself & my family in for because of all the awful reviews I had read. This one has lifted my spirits - thanks. I think I will go with an open mind, enjoy myself come what may and enjoy the winter sunshine (fingers crossed it will be warmer than here)!!

I also booked for myself, my partner and our two girls for next August 2003. But i wanted to book for the Hotel Costa Calma Beach in Fuerteventura but the young airtours travel agent talked me out of it saying it was so quiet there! 'But that's what we want', i said. But she praised Puerto Tahice so well i took her word for it. Could this be why it is booked up with good selling tactics from the travel agents? Before i even read these reviews i had my doubts that the complex would be too English, have to fight for a sunbed (LIKE WE DID IN ALCUDIA PINS THIS YEAR) no thanks. The kids clubs arn't worth A CARROT IF THEY ARE DIFFERENT AGES AS ONE GOES IN THE MORNING AND ONE IN THE AFTERNOON! So where is the R AND R that me and my fella thought we'd have. Guess what! I've been into the travel agents and changed to the place we originally wanted to go. Somewhere with a European feel, a kids club that takes 4 and 8 years of age kids together and peace and quiet. So there's a room going begging at Puerto Tahiche if anyone feels brave enough. Enjoy your stay.
