Good Points
Big, roomy, mines reliable, reasonable on fuel if driven sensibly. I get on avarage 35/gal deisel. Comfortable to drive

Bad Points
Poor turning circle, paint job is weak, genuine spares ar expensive if fitted during service. Kia Assist program will do there best to help in a roadside breakdown but be aware they have to be CHASED as they are not good at comunicating back.

General Comments
I Bought a Kia Sedona SX TDI new in 2002, now has 50,000 miles on her. 2 sets of brake pads so far but on average 30 k miles per set, mainly motorway driving though. If your going to tour or drive long distance it's great, not so good round town although my LX 2.9 CRDI is very nifty.

Servicing can work out expensive and watch the dealers they can try it on, ask to see worn pads etc.

Warrenty claims so far include, rear brake cyliders ( leaked), VDO radio cassette 3 times, tailgate rust twice, ( should have been done right first time ), handbrake cables, front suspension roll bar bushes perished, and be careful when changing wheels as I managed to snap a wheen nut off with the tools supplied. To be fair the dealer I use has investigated any complaint at the service, best way or I won't pay him!!!!!!

I like the car and so does anyone who has travelled in it.

I bought my kia just over 1 year ago. I had only just driven it off the forecourt, when the alternator belt started squealing. Oil was spewing from the side of the block all over the engine. The dealer had the balls to tell me this looked like an earlier repair job and was ok. who were they trying to kid? It turned out the cam-shaft seals had blown, and I had to literally threaten them to get them to repair the car.

This was at 45000 miles. The car is on a 51 plate, and at 52000 miles these have gone again. Now that the warranty has expired, the answer I get from the dealer is "Well you have bought a second hand car!" I have now got to pay for this repair out of my own pocket. It's a disgrace!
