Looks stylish, easy to use, excellent screen.
Bad Points
Slimline isn't a word in the Z600's dictionary, but that's a very minor criticism.
General Comments
I used to be a Nokia boy, through and through. You couldn't get to me trust another manufacturer. Then I was introduced to Sony Ericsson's T68i. Nokia who? Anyway - I've just changed mobile phone providers and was offered a new handset. Clutching the T68i (slightly battered almost a year on) to my chest, I was determined to walk out with another. "What a shame Sony don't do a flip-phone." I exclaimed. A Sony Ericsson Z600 was presented before me by the sales assistant. Ok, it was a bit bulky. My T68i was much slimmer. But, as we all know, size doesn't always matter, and when you flip open the lid, you're mesmorised by the clarity of the Z600's screen and it's beautiful blue backlight. So let me address a few criticisms people have of this phone, in case that's putting you off buying one. A) People say it's too bulky. Well I've already mentioned this. If you're looking for sleek and sexy; something which glides in and out of your back pocket, then this isn't the phone for you. Sexy it is. Sleek? No. But that doesn't matter. The interchangable covers, and highly-polished design compensate for that. In my opinion at least. B) People say it's too slow? Ok, until they make Pentium 4 3.8 Ghz PC based phones, they'll never run like lightening. The T68i was a little sluggish when changing themes too. But for texting, and flicking around between the menu - it's fast. C) People say the camera's not too good. Relax, the camera is fine. If you're taking shots of drunken nights out or you're just wanting to snap something quickly for a memory, then you'll be ok with the Z600. If you want to start entering Tate Modern's Photographer of the Year, I'd suggest you buy a digital camera. And how many digital cameras come with a built in phone? Hmm? D) People have been known to complain about signal. I think that's more to do with what provider you use and less about this phone. I've never had a complaint about phone signal. So, to re-cap: For affordability, reliabilty, stylish no quibble phone fun - the Z600 is yours for the discovering.
