Where to begin... ? Resurrection. A mindblowing wall of sound and melody.
A FF hit?! Shudder.. :) The intro of Securitron with the alarm klaxon growing increasingly louder.
The dj-scratching on Edgecrusher is totally tacky and merely tries to snag fans among the Limp Bizkit crowd. The song Descent isn't all that inspiring.
Right.. Fear Factory's Obsolete has to be the best metal-concept album I've heard since Vo vod's Dimension Hatr ss, and that's saying something! Lot's of the stuff on this album is reminiscent of other songs/artists, like Vo vod (Smasher/Devourer, Shock) and Rush (Resurrection). I can't recommend this album enough if you're at all into metal and sci-fi. The Orwellian society described in the story seems so much like the storyline in the computer game Dark Reign 2, that I almost expected to find a Smasher/Devourer among the JDA units. :) Anyway... I listened to the album with bass-heavy headphones and my head got flat and still I drooled for more! This is a concrete crusher! Get it! Blast it! Drool!
