Good Points

Willing engine when professionally remapped. Quatto offers great grip in winter, comfortable for long journeys.

Bad Points

Sports Suspension is under damped, anc too soft for proper B Road blasts.

General Comments

I've done 60,000 in my Audi A4 1.8T Quattro Sport since July 2002 and apart from the odd rattle that has developed (they're not as well built as we're led to believe) the car has been great.

It's less common than a BMW and has better levels of comfort and style.

But, it doesn't drive as well as a BMW - Rear wheel drive just can't be bettered for fun, but, it does feel safer.

I would however stress that this engine is an absolute cracker if tweaked. The 150 & even the newer 163 & 187Bhp versions are literally strangled at birth and only worthy of consideration if you are prepared to spend the extra £1,000+ to have it uprated.
