Good Points

The grounds were beautiful and extremely well manicured. The beach had powdery white sand.


Bad Points

The hotel is NOT WORTHY OF A 5* RATING. Service was bad, rooms were dirty, staff was unhelpful. Food was okay.


General Comments

If you are considering staying at Melia Caribe Tropical, you would be wise to choose another. The numerous problems that we discovered while travelling with a group of friends were pathetic. We stayed 2 weeks and spent at least an entire day in total on the phone asking for the basics; a clean room, a working fridge, a working toilet etc. We even met with the hotel manager to discuss our concerns but were dismissed. We were told the hotel was full and therefore our concerns were not valid.
