General Comments
Twentysomething by Jamie Cullum could quite possibly be the best album I have ever bought! It's certainly the only album I've ever pre-ordered! After buying the first album, 'Pointless Nostalgic' after Jamie's appearance on 'Parkinson' I felt I would be neglecting my CD collection if I didn't buy the latest offering!
All the excellent aspects of jazz are offered in an accessible album that captures some of the greatest songs of all time. However, my personal favourites are self-penned tracks that display the talent fully. The personal touch added by Jamie himself makes a truly memorable experience. After catching him on tour in Birmingham recently I have now developed a slight obsession but one that I feel is entirely justifiable! Bring on the next album
