Good Points

Accurate, powerful, 28 shots!

Bad Points

Stupid flat spring on magazine can be solved with tape, gun and mag are a bit stiff at first.

General Comments

The Anics Skif A-3000 F1 is my first c02 pistol. I must say I am extremely pleased. despite my worries that the plastic would be to delicate or the gas would leak or it would jam as few people claim has happened to them I have had no such problems. I would recommend adding a few drops of lubricant into the magazine just to loosen it up. the weaker ones of you mite struggle with the trigger, if so you mite want to use the single action at first till the mechanism loosens up. As for the flat spring. Do your self a favour and put a tiny piece of cellotape over it to hold it down other wise you will end up bending it when you put it in your pocket. If so you have to take it apart and bend it down. But dont get me wrong its easily avoided. Apart from this its perfect!
accurate always, extremely powerful and 75 shots a minute! I recommend having 3 mags so you dont have to reload while using a c02 capsule. hope ive been help. buy it you wont regret it.

I really want to know what brand laser pointer that is that is mounted on the skif...If anyone knows please inform me asap...Thanks.

I think that the laser pointer on the picture may be a Crosman. Great review!

I have been told by a qualified gunsmith that the Skif F1 is not made to such fine machine tollerances as the German pistols, and is therefore much more likely to jam. He told me this as I handed back my skif F1 to be sent back to the importer, completely jammed, in a loaded state. I cannot believe you have not experienced any jamming whilst using this pistol.

When you say that the F1 is extremely powerful would you mean that if you shot yourself by accident it could prove fatal?

  5. xerius Rank: Corporal on 13th Apr 2005

Of course there's a chance that anything can prove fatal. Drive a car theres a chance you crash. In this particular case the gun will prove quite adequate in short range pest control. If your worried about what would happen if you hit a person I doubt a shot would ever prove fatal unless specifically aimed to do so, which I am not condoning in anyway:P

Thank you for the response, I was beginning to think this gun was a killing machine. Can the pellet penetrate through glass? Oh yeah one more thing, I noticed in the manual that it said you should not shoot at water, could the pellet actually ricochet off water?

  7. xerius Rank: Corporal on 19th Apr 2005

Yes it is advisable you don't fire it near windows and I don't tend to shoot at water, but I can't really see the pellets ricocheting off of water..

  8. flex869 Rank: Staff Sergeant on 21st Apr 2005

Ok then, which pellets would max out the performance of this gun. I use the RWS hobby flathead pellets which are indeed fast but I would prefer a pellet with much more hitting power, as I noticed that these pellets become flattened when fired.

  9. xerius Rank: Corporal on 21st Apr 2005

Get flattened? All projectiles get flattened. Your not really going to find a pellet that isn't flattened after firing. Its travelling at 100's of meters a second.

  10. flex869 Rank: Staff Sergeant on 22nd Apr 2005

OK then if that is so I still believe that the RWS flathead pellets that I use are not powerful enough. Are there pellets that can penetrate better or have much more hitting power? I shot at a glass bottle the other day and the bottle never even got damaged, it simply just moved backwards, and the pellet however bounced off and ended up on my jeans flattened.

can you take off the silencer and if yes, is there an ugly tube stickin way out? if there is an ugly tube , can you take it off and still shoot?

  15. xerius Rank: Corporal on 27th Apr 2006

It's not a silencer, doesn't compress. It's a protection for the long thin ugly tube beneath! which i don't know if you can remove. Why buy the F1 if you don't want the extended barrel?? just buy the normal anics skif A 3000.

  16. christos77 on 11th Sep 2007

I ordered the A300 and due to low stock because to this 1st October law, I was sent the F1 (silencer version). I know you can take the silencer of because it's only a dummy, but once removed you are faced with an ugly pipe/barrel. Can this be removed?

  17. xerius Rank: Corporal on 13th Sep 2007

The F1 is not a silenced A300 it is just an extended barrel increasing the weapons accuracy. I'm not sure about whether it is possible to remove it your best bet is to go to your nearest stockist and see if they can.

Hi great review it really helped. I have a question though. On single action do you have to pull back the slide before every shot. Thanks.
